Dispute Resolution Experience:I have mediated and settled over 100 cases since I became a full-time neutral. In addition to private mediations, I am on the mediation panels of the Los Angeles and Orange County Superior courts. I am a hearing officer for the city of Santa Monica, a member of the Los Angeles County equity oversight panel, and a member of the employment law panel of the American Arbitration Association.. During my career as an attorney prior to becoming a neutral I participated in hundreds of dispute resolution proceedings as a plaintiff’s attorney, defense lawyer and as in-house “client” for two fortune 50 companies. My diverse experience, having sat on all sides of the litigation “fence,” is rare, if not unique, among southern California neutrals.

In 2005, I became senior vice president of human resources for Wal-Mart where one of my primary responsibilities was legal and governmental compliance which included participation as the “client” in wage/hour and employment discrimination matters including class action.
