Oswald Parada was appointed as a Magistrate Judge in 2006. Prior to his appointment, he served in the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Central District, initially working in Los Angeles and then, for several years, directing the office in Riverside. Before his federal service, he was a staff attorney for El Rescate Legal Services, Inc. Judge Parada received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton, and his law degree from Loyola Law School.
