“MEET THE FEDERAL COURT”

A TEACHER AND STUDENT PROGRAM

Teachers and students (7th grade - 12th grade) are cordially invited to attend a “Meet the Federal Court” program at the United States Courthouse located at 312 North Spring Street, Los Angeles. This program is given on a Thursday or Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the exception of federal holidays. The program includes presentations by a federal judge and representatives from various federal agencies.

Students are asked to follow the decorum of the court, including dress code (description provided in confirmation letter). For security purposes, there is no tour of the building and cameras are not allowed. While parking is not provided, there is a student drop-off area across the street from the Courthouse and school buses may park down the street. Due to limited seating, each program is limited to 80 students with a recommendation of one adult chaperone per 20 students. There is a 40 student minimum for participation and a three week advance notice for requesting a reservation.
For further information, please contact Pamela Gamble Jackson, Event Coordinator at 213-894-5708.

This program is also available in the two other Divisions of the Central District of California. For information on the program in the Southern Division (Santa Ana), please contact the Deputy-in-Charge at 714-338-4764. For information on the program in the Eastern Division (Riverside), please contact the Deputy-in-Charge at 951-328-4451.

There are many learning opportunities for teachers and students at the federal court. We appreciate your interest.
